Polly Black

Polly Anna M. Black, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. A native of Knoxville, Tenn., she was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ellison Black, Sr.; and her son, Jack Ellison Black, Jr. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Mary Black-Mullins; grandchildren, Allison Roessel, Jack E. "Trey" Black, III and Mary Elizabeth (Hunter) Augustino; great-grandchildren, Hayden Roessel, Madison Roessel, Hannah Roessel, Cameron Howard and Clarence Augustino. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday July 17, at the New Hope Presbyterian Church in the McMillan Building with the Rev. Keith Jones and the Rev. Art Jones officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. (central time) on Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum in Birmingham, AL. Pollys friends wish to thank Ted Kirby and his staff at Dalton Towers and Hospice of Chattanooga staff, Miranda, Karen, Barbara and Anita for their kind and loving care of Polly.
