Ruby Hudson

Ruby Lynn Capehart Hudson departed this life Saturday July 13, 2013, at age 96. She was born in Holland, MO, Dec. 15, 1916. She was a former resident of Birmingham, Ala., for 15 years before moving to Knoxville in 1955, Chattanooga in 1967 and Cleveland in 1980. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Dean Keith Hudson; her parents Noble Henry and Hettie Mae Coleman Capehart, of Caruthersville, MO; two brothers, three sisters, and grandson, Scott Hudson. She is survived by daughter Keitha Hudson, Blountsville, Ala.; son Jan Hudson and wife Ursula, Schuttrange, Luxembourg; son Dean Hudson and wife Mary, of Cleveland, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her very close friends, Don and Nancy Fenton.At age 48, while reading Billy Graham's book "Peace with God," she experienced a dramatic conversion. Within a few years, she became selflessly devoted to a life of intercessory prayer, a calling to which she remained faithful for over 40 years and for which she will be remembered by so many.Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries International and Pastor Gary Sears will lead a Celebration Memorial Service this Thursday, July 18, at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Olive Ministries, located at 3522 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN.
