Louise Grishom

Louise Hooten Grishom, an angel went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, July 18, 2013, after an extended illness.Louise retired from TVA after a successful career there. As an entrepreneur, she started and ran two restaurants. She was an active member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and her beloved Dillinger Sunday School Class.Louise loved people and genuinely loved life. The world is somewhat dimmed by the loss of her radiant smile. A great cook and talented decorator, she loved to entertain her friends. She loved flowers and had the knack of growing beautiful ones. Traveling with different groups of friends was one of her great passions.She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie B. and Mary Jewell Hooten, of Spring Hill, Tenn., and her brother, Joe T. Hooten, of Denver, Colo.She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry M. Grishom; daughters, Stacey (Patrick) Griffin, Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Rhonda (Moe) Torres, Tullahoma, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Jill (George) Troutman, Memphis, Tenn.; six beloved grandchildren who she always referred to as her "babies", Dustin (Danielle) Griffin, Lexi Griffin, Dillon Crouch, AnnaKristen Crouch, Allie Torres and Charlie Troutman; as well as numerous cousins, dear aunts and uncles.Services will be held at 4 p.m. today, July 20 in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
