RINGGOLD Charlotte Pharr Broom, 99, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013. She was born in Cook County, Ga., on Feb. 6, 1914, retired from Sweetwater Carpet after 26 years of service, was a member of Ringgold First Baptist and a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star where she served as Past Matron in 1967-1968.She was preceded in death by her Husbands, Odus Pharr and Allie Broom; Grandson, Joel Pharr. Survivors include her Children, Charles Pharr, of Resaca and Judy Pharr (Jerry) Lowery, of Ringgold; Sister, Mary Frank Nix, of Valdosta; 5 Grandchildren, Mike (Cathy) Pharr, Randall Pharr, Bill (Sharone) Lowery, Gene (Sandy) Lowery, Chareen Lowery (Steve) Humble; several Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and Tuesday at Ringgold First Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until funeral service time at 3 p.m. with Dr. Dan Whitaker and Pastor Jim Bailiff officiating.
