John Walls

, Sr.John Joseph Walls, Sr., 84, of East Ridge passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at his home. He was born July 22, 1923 in Mansfield, Tenn., to the late Porter and Annah Reynolds.Mr. Walls was a member of Jones United Methodist Church and was a World War II veteran serving in the Philippine. He was an avid golfer.He was retired from TVA after 26 years of service.His wife, Doris Walls, son, Stephen Walls, sisters, Hallie Pinson and Margaret Foust preceded him in death. Survivors include his son, Mike Walls, of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Wanda A. (David Hudson) Walls; granddaughter, Kristi Walls, of Chickamauga; grandson, Ryan Walls, of Signal Mountain; and one great-grandson, Caleb Walls.The family will receive friends Tuesday July 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. Larry Dial officiating.
