Linda Dickey

HUNTLAND Linda Faye Hill Dickey, 71, died on Monday, July 22, 2013.She was born on March 2, 1942, to the late Leonard and Etta Faye Sisk in Estill Fork, Ala.; She worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at Lanier Clothes. They attended Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Dickey loved sewing, growing flowers, thrift shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.Mrs. Dickey married the late Leonard "Buck" Hill and had four children, Kathy (Terry) King of Cowan, Jeff (Starr) Hill of Huntland, Carla Hill and Josh Hill of Murfreesboro. In 2001, she married M.L. Dickey and gained four step-children, Lydia (Myron) Denton, of Belvidere, Brenda (Larry) Walker, Martin (Susan) Dickey, and Paul (Wendy) Dickey, all of Huntland. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Boswell, of Leesburg, Fla.; brother, Don (Ann) Sisk, of Huntland; and sister, Kim (Garland) Shumate, of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Niki Hill, Brad (Peggy) Farris, Kristen (Jeffery) Cope, Brook Hill, Brittany Hill, David (Jimmie Lynn) Denton, Sarah (Josh) Anderson, Shelly Walker, Amanda Walker, Cody Walker, Evan Dickey and Ryan Dickey. She had nine great-grandchildren, Trey, Austin, Auna, Kloi, Brayden, Karson, Jonathan, Abigail, Russell, Jacob and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Destyn Farris.Funeral service will be 3 p.m. today at Moore-Cortner Chapel.Burial will follow at Watson Cemetery in Huntland.She was loved deeply and will be sadly missed by all.Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 First Ave. N.W.
