Lou Carter

Louise "Lou" Hamilton Crayton Carter, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013.She was the daughter of the late Julian and Johny Crayton. Lou was a teacher in Walker and Gwinnett Counties for numerous years. She enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross and was a ham radio operator.She is survived by her husband, Peyton Carter; sons, Crayton Carter and Lea Carter, all of Chattanooga; sister, Nan (Bill) Gray, of Columbia, S.C.; brothers-in-law, Hon. Bill (Wiki) Carter, Jack (Betty) Carter; and several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain, Tenn., at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 29, with the Rev.
