Billie Gifford

ROSSVILLE Billie Eugene Gifford, 64, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was of the Baptist faith. He was previously employed with Yates Bleachery for more than 25 years and then retired from Fort Oglethorpe Nursing Home in 2003 after more than 10 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, he was a loving and devoted, husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.Survivors include his loving wife of more than 43 years, Carolyn Dalton Gifford; daughter, Peggy Condra both of Rossville, Ga.; two brothers, John Gifford, of Flintstone, Ga., and James Gifford, of Chickamauga, Ga.; sister, Margaret Davis, of Flintstone, Ga.; two grandchildren, Allen and Chris Condra and several nieces and nephews.Services will be private and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
