Carl Gouger

Carl Edward "Jack" Gouger, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was 83 years old.Carl was born and has been a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area. He was the owner and operator of Carsbe Company. Carl was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. He was a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698, the Scottish Rite and served as a volunteer for the VITAL Center.He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Edward and Mamie Aline Rhea Gouger.He is survived by his wife, Bettye Gray Gouger; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rusty Rouse; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Janet Gouger; grandchildren and their spouses, Brittany and Mark Hamby and Matthew and Cara Gouger; great-grandchildren, Reese Gouger, Jude Gouger, Courtlin Hamby, Brooks Hamby and Davis Hamby.The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. today at the North Chapel.Services for Carl will be held at 11:30 a.m. today at the North Chapel with Doctor Tony Wilson officiating.Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.The family has asked that memorial contributions be made in Carls name to White Oak Baptist Church at 3310 Memorial Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37415.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
