Ed Whitaker

BELLBROOK, Ohio Charles E. "Ed" Whitaker, 86, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brothers, Jim and Dick.Ed was survived by his wife, Delores, to whom he was married for 67 years; his children, Paula (Ron) Vincent, Bill (Jean) Whitaker, John (Linnie) Whitaker and Robyn Thomas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Cookie) Whitaker and Bob (Rose) Whitaker; his sister-in-law, Ann Whitaker; close family friend, Gloria Requarth; and a host of other relatives. Ed, "Pap" to his family, was proud to be designated a 50-year Mason in 2002 by Dayton Lodge 512. He was also a member of the York rite.A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, at Xenia Grace Chapel located at 100 Grace Drive, Xenia, Ohio.Family will receive guests from 4-5 p.m. with services from 5-6 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the International Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Association, P.O.Box 196217, Winter Springs, FL 32719.
