William P. "Bill" McKee, Sr., 69, of Apison, Tenn., passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at his residenceHe was born on June 24, 1943 in Mobile, Ala., to the late John L. McKee, Sr., and Jewell McKee and was preceded in death by his son, William P. McKee, Jr.; and brother, John L. McKee, Jr.Bill was a retired Sergeant with the Collegedale Police Department.He was a member of McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church.Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Wanda McKee; two daughters, Patricia Taylor, Sandra Stephens; four grandsons, Levi Taylor, Dillon Taylor, Tyler Stephens, Chris Stephens, all of Apison, Tenn.; two nephews, Kevin McKee, Mike B. McKee, both of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday June 19, at McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor LeClaire Litchfield officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
