Robert Cash

ALBERTVILLE Robert Lee Cash, 84, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away at his home in Albertville, Ala., on Sunday, April 21, 2013.Born in Haralson County, Ga., on April 24, 1928, he graduated from Geraldine High School in Geraldine, Ala., and then served in the U.S. Navy. Settling in Chattanooga, he began a 32 year career at DuPont as a rigger and was a member of Northside Baptist Church before returning to Sand Mountain, Ala., for his retirement years.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Genell Collier Cash; two daughters, Shan (Ed) ONeal, of Boaz, Ala., and Susan (Bill) Carpenter, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; a sister, Frances Tally, of Jacksonville, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Mr. Cash was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene D. and Sarah Guice Cash; one brother, William Bryant Cash; and a sister, Imogene Edmonson.Mr. Cash was a member of First Baptist Church of Albertville.Funeral services were held at Adams Brown with burial at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville.Memorial donations may be made to the Great Physician Clinic of First Baptist Church, Albertville.
