Dean Wells

ROCK SPRING Dean Arnold Wells, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.Dean had recently moved back to the North Georgia Area from Lake Park, Ga. and had moved his membership from First Baptist Church of Lake Park to Oakwood Baptist Church, Chickamauga. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from Lowes in Valdosta after 6 years.Dean was preceded in death by his parents, James Leonard and Mildred Irene Green Wells; brother, James "Bud" Wells; and grandson, Jake Miller.He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Annette Wells; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Lee Miller, of Chickamauga; sisters, Iralean Tudor and Nancy Brown, both of Rossville; brother, Bill Wells, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Kala Miller and Luke Miller; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013, at Oakwood Baptist Church, Chickamauga, with Rev. Robert Dawson and Rev. Allen Farris officiating.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
