Margaret Sisson

RINGGOLD Margaret Vivian Rigsby Sisson, 93, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at her residence.She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Marvin Lee Sisson; her parents, Mitchell and Ethel Williams Rigsby; her sisters, Emily Rigsby and Alva (Lamar) Smith; her brother, Charles (Dorothy) Rigsby.Margaret was a lifelong resident of the Boynton community in North Georgia. She was a faithful member of Boynton United Methodist Church and an active participant in the BUMC Choir and United Methodist Women. Margaret was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star Ringgold Chapter #245. She retired after approximately 20 years as Cafeteria Manager at Boynton Elementary School. She loved to read and cook for her family and friends. Margaret was generous with her love and time. She was a devoted wife and nurturing mother and grandmother.She is survived by a son, Dennis L. (Peggy) Sisson, Ringgold; two daughters, Andrea (Dennis) Sims, Ringgold, and Karen (Roger) Forgey, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Patty (Bill) Holden and Amy Sisson, Alpharetta, Ga., Chris (Michele) Sims, Cartersville, Ga., and Angie (David) Sims Martin, Montgomery, Ala., Dave (Jessica) Oaks, New Cumberland, Penn., Jeremy Forgey and Matthew Forgey, both of Rossville; brother-in-law, Charles Lamar Smith, Birmingham, Ala.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Moore Rigsby, Charleston, S.C.; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
