Michae Gaines

Michael B. Gaines, 54, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at a nursing facility in Etowah, Tenn., from a long battle with cancer.He graduated from Kirkman Tech, in 1978 and then joined the U.S. Army serving 8 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Braden and Mary (Rudy) Gaines King; one brother, Gregory King; one aunt, Helen Ruth Gaines, all of Chattanooga.He is survived by his daughter, Dealtra Threatt; five grandchildren, Valisa, Darrius, Chantavia, Chadrick, and Anayia Threatt; one great-grandson, Prinston Edward, all of Piedmont; sisters, Deborah and Yolanda (Faye) King; one brother, Tyron King; one aunt, Kathern (HardiMae) Lane, all of Chattanooga; one uncle, Dillard Gaines, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at Trammell Chapel, 913 ML King Blvd., with Rev.
