Margaret Pickett

WHITWELL Margaret Lucille McEntyre Pickett passed away, Wednesday, June 26, 2013.Margaret served as a nurse for approximately 30 years, providing care to thousands of patients. During World War II, she served her country by packing "C" rations, writing letters to soldiers, and as a "Rosie the Riveter" helping to assemble airplanes in Marietta, Ga.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas McEntyre and George Pickett; her parents, Dave and Belle Barker; sister, Hellen Smith; and brother, Ralph Barker.She is survived by her son, Tommy McEntyre and daughter-in-law, Ramona; granddaughter, Sarah McEntyre Miller and husband, Ryan; grandson, Thomas McEntyre, all of Kimball, Tenn.; stepson, Ray Pickett and wife, Nell; stepgrandchildren, Allion Pickett Herrell and Michael Pickett, all of Soddy-Daisy; sisters, Joyce Hudson, Whitwell, Tenn., Bonnie Siegrist, Cleveland, Ohio, and Phyllis Hawk, South Pittsburg, Tenn.; brother, Ray Barker, Whitwell, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT Saturday, June 29, 2013, with Rev.
