Waynard Shoemate

DUNLAP Waynard L. Shoemate, passed away at NHC Healthcare on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the age of 74 after a long illness. He was born on March 9, 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and George Shoemate; brother, Carl Shoemate.He is survived by his wife, Rosetta Kerley Shoemate; three daughters, Sheryl Proffitt, Dunlap, Sandy Lovelady, Dayton, and Stacey Lyrell, Spring City; one son, Stephen Shoemate, Douglas, Ga.; two step-sons, Marvin Phillips, Dunlap, and David Phillips, MS; sister, Delores Bunch, Pikeville; brother, Ronald Shoemate, MI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Brandon Gates officiating. Military honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Burial will be in Humble Cemetery.
