Harold Eaton

, Sr.,Harold E. Eaton, Sr., 71, of East Ridge passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, was a veteran of the army serving in Korea, was the owner and operator of Harold's Construction, and a graduate of Lakeview High School. Harold also attended McKenzie College, Edmonson Business School, and Northwest Georgia College. He was a member of the American Legion Post 95 and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Freemason, East Ridge Lodge. He was also active in the Shriners organization for over three decades.He was the son of Leatha Bowman Eaton and Carl F. Eaton and brother of Jessie Lee Eaton and Carl W. Eaton.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Long Eaton; two sons, Trent and Eddie, and his wife Bonnie; as well as four grandchildren, Tyler, Elizabeth, Tanner and Michael.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or St. Jude children's hospital.Condolences may be sent to lane-southcrestchapel.com.Graveside services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the TN Army National Guard and the American Legion Post 95.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
