Noleeka Millard

Noleeka "Dink" Holmes Millard, 89, of Hixson, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013.She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lorene Tilford Sunday School Class. Noleeka retired from Signal Knitting Mills where she worked as an executive secretary for many years. She was a member of the Betsy Ross Chapter of the Eastern Star for 49 years and was also a member of Asebi Court.She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Milton Millard; father, William M. Holmes; mother, Della Mae Walker Holmes; brothers, Vone Holmes, William Holmes and Malcolm Holmes; sisters, Georgia Dilday, Ruby Holden, Juanita Denton, Hazel Baker and Jennie McGaha. Noleeka is survived by one brother, Don Holmes; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.Noleekas family would like to thank her many caregivers and friends at The Terrace at Mountain Creek for their loving care during the last four years.The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from noon until 2:45 p.m.Funeral services will be held at North Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home at 3 p.m. today, March 3, 2013, with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating.
