Carl Scott Logan, 56, of Lookout Mountain, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga., surrounded by his family.He was a graduate of Notre Dame High school, owner of Carl Logan Inc., active member of Associated General Contractors, fervent sportsman, and tiller of the soil.He was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Mary McGuffey, and Bryan and Edith Logan; parents, Gerald and Shirley Logan; brother, Harold Whaley; and family friend, Roy Johnson.He is survived by wife, Gigi Logan; brother, John (Ruth) Logan; daughters, Mary (William) Tepper, Laura (Russ) Wilburn and Catherine Logan; and granddaughters, Anne Carter, Cate, and Lawson.A service to celebrate Carls life will be held at The Church of the Good Shepherd on Lookout Mountain, Tenn., today, March 7, with a reception of friends beginning at 2:30 p.m. followed by a 3:30 p.m. service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain, TN, 37350; or Piedmont Atlanta Healthcare Foundation, 1968 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30309.
