CHICKAMAUGA Avie Cleo Dill Roy, 96, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013.She was born in Chattanooga, to the late Charlie and Emma Humphreys Dill. She had resided in Chickamauga since 1949 and had worked at D.M. Stewart and American Lava. Her enjoyment was her family whom she loved spending time with, sewing, quilting and cooking for as well. She also enjoyed growing a garden with her late husband and tending to her flowers she grew.Along with her parents, who was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Earl Franklin Roy; an infant daughter, Grace Carolyn Roy; brothers, Winfred, Lester, France and Ralph Dill; sisters, Leithie Burns and Minnie Lou ONeal.She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean McDaniel, of Chickamauga; former son-in-law, Dan McDaniel, of Chattanooga; grandson, Bryan (Rhonda) McDaniel; great-grandson, Carson McDaniel, all of Flintstone, Ga. ; sister, Mildred (Luke) Crouch, of Chickamauga; sisters-in-law, Lorene Dill, of Chickamauga, June Smith, of Ooltewah; special nieces, Brenda Cross, Christine Walker, Pam Smith; several other nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today and an hour prior to the service Friday.Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, in the chapel with the Rev.
