Elzie Moore

FORT OGLETHORPE Elzie Eugene E.E. Moore, 83, departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2013, at his home.He was born in Jackson County, Ala., to the late Andrew Jackson and Bertha Leola Moore. He served his country during WW II in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division, and retired from Rosedale trucking after 15 years of service. Elzie was a member of the Masonic Lodge #397 in Rossville and New Bethel Baptist Church in Ringgold.He was also preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Henagar; brothers, Leslie and Van Moore.Survivors include his wife, Aline Hullender; children, Jeannie (Doug) Mullins, Alesha (David) Fuquea, Johnny, Joey, Jerry Moore, Jackie (Teresa) Hullender; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Cecil (Joyce) Guffey, Bill (Janice) Guffey, Arvis and Randy Harris and other friends of Rosedale.A special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and care during this difficult time especially Tina Howard his "special nurse" that took care of him.Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Old Anderson Cemetery in Ringgold, Ga.,with Rev. Jeff Daniels officiating.Family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. today and prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
