Goldie Willard

Goldie A. Willard, 99, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in a local healthcare facility. She was born Jan. 22, 1914 to John Simeon and Laura Stinson Anderson in Georgetown, and grew up in Chattanooga. She attended Central High School and Wiley School of Business. She married Theodore Hartridge Willard on Feb. 17, 1939, in Chattanooga.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Anderson and his wife, Burly Anderson; sister, Garnet Barger; and grandson, Richard Willard.Survivors include her daughter Betty (Ed) Jaekle, of Naples, Fla.; son, John R. "Bob" (Sandra) Willard, of Chattanooga; three grandchildren: Michael (Lisa) Terry, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lisa (Steve) Martin, of Smyrna, Tenn., and Brian (Lisa) Willard, of Chattanooga; great-grandchildren, Micah and Brendan Willard, of Chattanooga, Cordy and Sydney Martin, of Smyrna, Tenn.There will be no visitation or service.Visit www.lanefh.com to share condolences.Arrangements by Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace 877-3524.
