James Stapp

RINGGOLD James Robert Stapp, 82, passed away Sunday March 24, 2013 at his residence. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle. James was a former employee of Pro-weld where he worked in sales for 15 years and Challenge Supply where he worked for 5 years.He is preceded in death by his son, Randy Stapp; parents, Bob and Arizona Corey Stapp and sister, Dorothy Louise Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Jean Bell Stapp, of Ringgold, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ellen Stapp, of Rossville, Ga.; brother, Thomas "Bud" Stapp, of Ringgold, Ga.; two grandchildren, Ashley (Ricky) Cook, of Jacksonville, N.C., and Matthew Stapp, of Rossville, Ga.; and one nephew. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3-9 p.m. and Wednesday until funeral time at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold, Georgia.
