Mozella Scott

Mozella D. Scott, 97, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Standifer Place Nursing Home.She was founder and proprietor of Mozellas Diner from 1971-79. She was a member of Brainerd Church of Christ.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard H. Scott Sr.; two sons, Leonard H. Scott, Jr., Thomas L. Scott; one daughter, Loretta A. Scott.She is survived by two daughters, Virginia E. (Ulas) Benton, Lillie M. Henderson; two sons, Larry W. Scott and David L. Scott; one nephew/son, Walter Eberhardt, of Maryland; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Ridgedale Church of Christ (next door to John P. Franklin Funeral Home) with Minister Thomas Mathis officiating and viewing one hour prior to service.Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
