Douglas Wrinn

CHICKAMAUGA Douglas Cornelius Wrinn, 64, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. Doug was raised in Sweetwater, Tenn., before moving to Chickamauga in 1977 and is a member of Chickamauga Presbyterian Church. Doug served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed by the Chattanooga Housing Authority. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, becoming an Eagle Scout in his childhood, a Scoutmaster of Troup #64 during the 90s, and an advisor and camp counselor in recent years.Doug was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Cornelius Wrinn.He is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Wendy Wrinn; mother, Kathleen P. Schulz; children, Justin (Izumi) Wrinn, of Rome, Ga., Kerri (Todd Levine) Wrinn, of Stoughton, Wis., and Katie Wrinn, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; stepsisters, Debbie and Terri; grandchild, Cassie; and several nieces and nephews.A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Chickamauga Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Bridget Waddell officiating.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, J. Avery Bryan Chapel.
