Jack Mansel

Jack Erskine Mansel, 77, of East Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at his home.He was a printer with Interstate Life and also with Olan Mills from which he retired. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Army Reserve.Jack was a wonderful husband, father, granddad, great-granddad, brother, and we shall miss him very much.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ethel Hooks Mansel and James Barton Mansel; sisters, Dorothy Friddell, Gladys Walters, Jo Jordan; and brother, Donald R. Mansel.Survivors include his wife, Virginia Beavers Mansel; sons, Jack Mitchell (Belinda) Mansel, Mark Steven (Terry Lynn) Mansel; grandchildren, Matthew (Sunshine), Michal (Eric) Gailer, Brandon (Pebbles) Mansel, Marcus (Katie) Mansel; sister, Jewell Southerland; and brother, Billy James Mansel; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and the Harvest Class.Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Rev.
