Millis Rose

Millis Matthew Rose, 94, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Memorial Hospital North ParkMillis is lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy. He was in the United States Army from 1942-1945, during WWII serving as a staff Sargent. Millis was a member of Laborer Local 896, VFW and American Legion.Millis was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Rose and Minnie Dobbins Rose Cary.Millis is survived by his sisters, Dorothy Barker, of Doctor Phillips, Fla., Reba Pinson and Geraldine Flerl, of Soddy-Daisy; brother, George Cary, of Soddy-Daisy; nieces, Cheryl Flerl, of Hixson, and Marsha (Marty) Hubbs of Doctor Phillips, Fla.; nephews, Scott (Pat) Seiber, of Murray, Ky., and Adam (Colleen) Seiber, of New York, N.Y.; and several great-nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 a.m. today, May 2, 2013, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. today, May 2, 2013, in the funeral home chapel.Interment will follow to Chattanooga National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to charity of your choice.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.ChattanoogaNorthChapel.com.
