Timothy "Pepper" McPherson passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013On April 12, 1947 in Chattanooga, God performed a beautiful design in his plan and purpose when he breathed the breath of life into Timothy McPherson "Pepper". This beautiful and useful life became a spirit on Sunday, April 28, 2013.Timothy "Pepper" McPherson was preceded in death by his birth mother, Ruthie Mae Applings and Joe Hester. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda Faye Baker and Hiawatha J. Scott; brother John A. Young.Timothy "Pepper" McPherson accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the public school system of Hamilton County, where he became a graduate of Riverside High School in 1965. He was a long time employee for Dixie Produce before becoming a team member of Mitchell Industrial Tire Co.Timothy McPherson "Pepper" leaves to cherish in his memories: a loving companion of 36 years, Cheryl Myree; mother, Delia McPherson Young; daughters, Kassandra Terrell, Carolyn Miller, Nicole Dyer and Tameka Ford; son Michael Ford Jr.; sisters, Retonga Lee Smith, Delia E. Young, Chan Afi, Sylvia Davis, Loretta Armstrong, Veronica (Napoleon) Dunson, Reba (Craig) Wardlaw; brothers, Silvester Emanuel Wright, and Willie (Rhonda) Applings Jr., Joe Frank (Linda) Thomas, Joe (Shelia), David (Jean) Calvin (Debra), Thomas (Brenda) and Roderick (April) Young; grandkids, TyAshia Taylor, Terranique, Markalla, Keosha, Nick and Zachiyah Ford, Timothy Reedus-Gilyard, Jamie Reedus-Gilyard, Miracle Miller, Nathan Miller; and a host of relatives and dear friends.Services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in the Chapel.Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family receive friends from 6 7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
