Douglas Nave

SPRING CITY Douglas A. Nave, 65, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at the Spring City Care Center.Born in Rockwood, Tenn., he was the son of the late Arbie and Eva Drake Nave. Douglas was a graduate of Spring City High School and a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served three tours of duty during the Vietnam Conflict and retired in 1986 after 24 years of service. Douglas was of the Church of Christ faith.Survivors include his ex-wife Glenda Nave, of Spring City; sons, Kelly Nave and Travis Nave, both of Kissimmee, Fla.; stepdaughters, Cheryl Waddell, of Tillamook, Ore., Angela Day, of Ellijay, Ga., and Melissa Green, of Indianapolis, Ind.; brother, James Nave, of Spring City; sister, Barbara Hickey, of Rhea County; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.There will be no visitation or services.Vaughn Funeral Home, Spring City is in charge of arrangements. www.vaughn-funeral-home.com.
