Gearldine Preece

Gearldine Patton Preece went to heaven on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.Gearldine was born in Ohio to David and Floda Patton on Dec. 29, 1955 and was one of 10 children. She was the beloved wife of Jerome Dale Preece of San Saba, Texas whom she married on Nov. 4, 1971. She was a resident of Dalton, Ga. for more than 20 years.Gearldine will forever be remembered by her loving husband; her three daughters and sons-in law, Jeri Ann and Ronnie Banks, of Ringgold, Ga., Dena Lynn Preece and Anthony Chadwick, of Ellijay Ga., and Darla Rae Martin and Joseph Campbell, of Dalton, Ga. She will also be missed by her treasured grandchildren, Carol Marie Chadwick, Trevor Dean Preece, Brian Evan-Dale Martin, Destinee Paige Preece, Cheyanne Raelynn Martin and Aubrey Grace Martin. Family members who will be missing her will be her mother, Floda Patton; her sisters, Mary Rose, Pat, Marcella, Donna, Dorothy, and Linda; her brothers, Howard, Buddy, Kenneth, and Eric. She also had numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members in Texas, Washington, and Kentucky who will be missing her as well.Gearldine loved to spend time with her family and her grandchildren who were the sunshine of her life. She touched the lives of many people with her loving and generous heart.Friends and family will be invited to attend a memorial service that will be announced at a later date.
