WHITWELL Bennett Vernon Turner, 79, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Mr. Turner was retired from the State of Tennessee Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Biddie Viola Turner; daughter, Emma Stephenson; parents, Leonard Turner and Pearl Hammock; sister, Ruth Cates.Those left to cherish his memories are four daughters, Kay (Charlie) Rousseau, Carolyn Turner, Sue McGowan, Kathy Baggett all of Whitwell; four grandchildren, Melinda (Jason) Hall, Elizabeth (Ron) Angel, Tisa (Norman) Robinson, and Ben Holland; five great-grandchildren, Cody Angel, Kaitlyn French, Abigail Robinson, Madison Robinson, Avery Robinson.Family will receive friends 2-9 p.m. today.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, May 17, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
