George Farmer

George E. Farmer, 88 of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, in a local health care facility.He was the son of the late Samuel and Gracie Farmer and was preceded in death by two brothers.George was a veteran of the Army Air Force having served his country in WWII. He worked, throughout his life, in heating and air conditioning and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 43.He was a member of Gospel Chapel Assembly in Rossville.Survivors include his wife, Hazel Farmer, of Chattanooga; three children, Janice (Alvin) Parrish, of Chattanooga, Gary (Debbie) Farmer, of Ooltewah, Otis (Kimiko) Farmer, of Lusby, Md.; four grandchildren, Heather (Dillon) Vanzant, of Ooltewah, Holly (Larry) Swinea, of Ooltewah, Brittany Farmer, of Chattanooga, Zachary Laws, of Lusby, Md.; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev.
