Thomas Galivan

Thomas Galivan, 75, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013.A native of Chicago, Ill., he had been a resident of Chattanooga for over 40 years.Tom was a devoted member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, serving as an usher for 30 years, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired from General Mills, Inc. after 36 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleta Dolores Kelly and Arthur James Galivan.Thomas is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret Galivan; daughters, Kathleen Galivan Jones, Janet Dulaney, son, Patrick Galivan; grandchildren, Anna, Kate, Will and Christopher Jones, Andrew and Matthew Dulaney and Jacob Galivan; sister, Norine Heinz, of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, at the Valley View Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.A Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, with Father Gilbert Diaz officiating.Burial will be at a later date at Mt.
