Christine Echols

Christine Echols, 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 12, 2013.She was retired from Chattanooga Public School System and was a member of New Testament Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Echols Jr.; and her mother and father, Lucy B. Seagrave McFarland and Mr. and Mrs. John and Donnie Mae McFarland; a son and great-grandson, Richard Echols and little Gerald Toney Jr.Survivors include five daughters, Linda Hood, Loretta Westfield, Delgricia Dauncy, Retina (Robert) Parker and Sharon Pryor; a host of other family and friends.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of Advantage with Dr. Kerry Smith and Brother Wilbert McClure officiating.Burial will be in National Cemetery.The body will lie in state from 1 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.Arrangements are entrusted to Advantage Funeral Cremation Services Franklin-Strickland-Pinkard-Bryan-Smith Funeral Directors 1724 McCallie Ave., 423- 265-4414.
