Norma Cunningham Putnam Jones, 76, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area where she was a member of Lookout Baptist Church. She graduated from City High School in 1954 and also graduated from Chattanooga State with an associates degree. Mrs. Jones was a stay at home mom and housekeeper for 25 years while co-owning and operating a cricket hatchery with Paul Putnam in Happy Valley. She also worked in sales with Benchmark Photography which allowed her to travel the country. She and her late husband, Tom Jones owned and operated a property inspection business and a casket store in Fort Oglethorpe, and she also worked in sales at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Her passions in life were God, family, flowers, nature, and traveling.She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Jones; parents, Hollis and Ethel Cunningham; and sister, Betty Sue Cunningham.Survivors include her children, Cindy Putnam (Terry) Burns, of Chickamauga, Donna Putnam (Les) Jones, of Clinton, Ind., and Paul Lebron (Jackie) Putnam Jr., of Chattanooga; brother, Tony Ray Cunningham, of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Charme Burns Ray, Nathan Matthew Burns, Shea Jones Lowrance, Andrew Robert Jones and Amanda Talley; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev.
