Billy Ware

LaFAYETTE Billy Joe "Bill" Ware, 80, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. He was born in LaFayette on May 8, 1933 to the late James T. and Ester Harris Ware. Bill was of the Christian faith, retired from Shaw Industries and he enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He was preceded in death by several brothers and ssters. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geraldine Carroll Ware, of LaFayette; daughter, Rachel Nave and son-in-law, Charles Nave Jr., of Chickamauga; three grandchildren, Amber Ware, Heather and Brittany Nave; great-grandson, Bryson Stoker; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in LaFayette City Cemetery with Pastor Larry Brooks officiating.
