Gwendolyn Dunn

Gwendolyn S. Dunn, 51, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at a local hospital. She was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church and a graduate of the Brainerd High School class of 1980. She was preceded in death by her father, Sammie L. Dunn. Survivors include her beloved son, Joshua Carter; mother, Ruth Dunn; three sisters, Cynthia (Rev. Mark) Garrett, of Chattanooga, Audrey (Wayne) McMillan, of Nashville, and Shaundra (Scott) Visor, of Chicago, Ill.; two nieces, Maya and Mariah Garrett; three nephews, Myles McMillan, Wesley and Jaxson Visor; nine aunts; seven uncles; devoted cousin, Randy Dunn; dear friends, Karen Boyd and Nathaniel Mathis; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be on at noon Saturday, Nov. 2, at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. James Leslie officiating. Interment: Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
