Ruby Reece

Ruby L. Reece, 91, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 30, 2013, with family at her bedside. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in the Melvin Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Mattie Hedgecoth; children. Charles Homer, James Wendell and Jerry "Duck" Reece; granddaughter, Lacee Reece; and three brothers, Ray, Carl and Paul Hedgecoth. She is survived and will be missed by her family, three daughters, Carlene (Earl) Hankins, Linda (Hoyt) Neal, and Katie (Harold) Hankins; two sons, Richard (Deborah) Reece and Johnny Reece all of Pikeville; a daughter-in-law, Dinah Reece Swafford, of Crossville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen Keedy, Pikeville and Martha Jones, of Sidney, Ohio; one brother, Bill (Geneva) Hedgecoth, of Spencer; sister-in-law, Elsie Hedgecoth; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel with Brother Doyal Ashburn and Melton Ker officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
