Benjamin McAdams Sr.

Benjamin "Sarge," McAdams Sr., 65, passed on Monday, October 28, 2013, in Prince William Hospital, Manassas, Va. Born on Jan. 19, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Wesley and Eva McAdams, he is preceded by his siblings Louise Linder and James Brown. Benjamin is a graduate of Howard High School, and Saint Leo University. He is an Air Force veteran with 22 years of service and also a retired AFJROTC Instructor. Benjamin is survived by three children Benjamin Jr. (Danielle), Dorothy, and Latriel; nieces Nell and Theresa; 6 grandchildren, Benjamin III, Bryson, Omar, Kelvin, Arionna, Marques and a host of close family, friends, and students. Pastor Mark F. Brown, Holy Hills of Zion Church, Hampton, Virginia, will officiate a memorial service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. today at John P.
