Carrie Croft

Carrie Mae Smith Croft, 90, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at her residence. She was born on May 10, 1923, to the late Wil Henry and Flecie Crowe Smith. Her husband, Hosey Croft; sisters, Henrietta, Louise, Bertha, Katherine, Mildred and twin sister, Clara; one granddaughter, Kim Rounette preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memories are nine children, Paul (Mary) Croft, Dr. Floyd (Rose) Croft, Claude Croft, Ludie (General) Wymbs, Rebecca (Allen) Smith, Dorothy Croft, Josphine Fears, Jean Davis and Ronald Rishea (Selena) Moore; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; devoted niece, Annie Miller; special friends, Mary Capehart and Josie Lawrence; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services celebrating the life of Carrie Croft will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Mount Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks St., Ringgold, GA30736 with Pastor Jimmy Ingram and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 11 a.m. today and the family will receive friends at the church from noon until the funeral hour. Interment: Ringgold Community Cemetery.
