Harold Burke Sr.

Harold Giles Burke Sr., 60, died on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013. He was born to the union of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard E. (Louise H.) Burke Sr. During his childhood he attended Wiley Memorial United Methodist Church. He was currently a member of Living Stones Ministry. Harold was a 1971 graduate of Riverside High School. He was employed by Ricoh and Parking Services at UTC. He was the campus mailman for over 15 years. Survivors daughter, April; sons, Scottie (Shinee), Harold (Ashley) Jr. and Cory, all of Chattanooga, Brian (Tiffany), of Edmond, Okla.; six grandchildren; brother, Bernard E. Burke Jr., of Atlanta; sisters, K. Bernadette Wrighten, of Charleston, S.C., and Avis Gary, of Knoxville; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Homegoing celebration at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Living Stones Ministry. His family will honor his request with cremation of his remains at a later date. Visitation today after noon and family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
