Miles McCuistion Sr.

Miles G McCuistion Sr., 82, ofHixson, formerly of Spring City, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at his home. Born in Rock Island, Tenn., Miles was the son of the late John F. McCuistion and Anna Rhea Dedrick McCuistion Cox. He was a graduate of Spring City High School, a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from TVA. Miles loved aviation and music and was a member of Rhea Springs Lodge #310 F.&A.M. He was preceded in death by his son, John Franklin McCuistion II; grandson, Graham Mitchell; and sister, Dorothy Long. Miles is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Barton McCuistion, of Hixson; son, Miles G McCuistion Jr. (Wanda Pike), of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Becky Mitchell, of Manchester, N.H., Beth (Ken) Kipp, of Wellfleet, Mass. and Mary Ann (Darren) Kipp, of Plainville, Mass.;, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 and services at 2 p.m. with Rev Dale Wyrick. Interment with masonic graveside services at Spring City Cemetery.
