Ola Buckalew

Ola Pearl Marsh Butts Buckalew, 89, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at her residence. A resident of the Ringgold area for the past 24 years, she attended Ringgold First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lee Buckalew; parents, Claude and Bell Thames Marsh; daughter, Barbara Ann Sewell; and son, Billy Butts. She is survived by four children, Linda (Thomas) Worley, of Ringgold, Willie Walker, of Ringgold, Jesse J. Butts, of Ringgold, and Donald (Sherry) Walker, of Fresno, Calif.; brother, Marlin J. Marsh, of Clearwater, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Anderson Memorial Gardens in Ringgold. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to Hearth Hospice in Fort Oglethorpe.
