Annie Allen

Annie Ruth Allen, 86, a native and lifelong resident of Walker County passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, in a Walker County Healthcare facility. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving others. She was also an avid reader and gardener. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Gertrude Dennis; one son, Steven Allen; brother, Whit Dennis; and sister, Louise Lambert. Annie was survived by her husband of 65 years; Tommy Allen;one son; David (Debbie) Allen, of Torrance, Calif.; one daughter, Renee (Rusty) Wyatt, of Chickamauga; six grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Furman, Jessica (Chris) Isbill, Brandy Wyatt, Shaun Allen, Andrea Moscola, Whitney Wyatt; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Alexis, Riley; sister, Beatrice Chandler, of Rock Spring, Ga., Gene (June) Dennis, of Marietta Ga.; and several nieces, nephews; and extended family members also survive. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Allen Farris officiating.
