Martha Swann

Martha Faye Toomey Swann, 72, departed this life Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. She was born in Charleston, Tenn., to the late Charles and Bersie Lones Toomey. Martha served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Swann; sister, Floetta "Betty" Newman. Survivors include her children, Toni Burkhart, Tonya Swann, Kim (Eric) Allen, all of Rossville, Renee (John) Penney, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Jessica and Sam Penney; and niece, Rhonda Newman. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in the chapel with Rev. Randy Chestnut officiating. Interment will follow Charleston Community Cemetery. Family will receive friends from all day today, and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
