Albert Lee Drake Jr., 90, passed away Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at Life Care Center of Rhea Co. A longtime resident of Rhea Co., he was retired from Combustion Engineering after 44 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving WWII, he was a recipient of the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon with 1 Bronze Service Star, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal, and was a member of Kelly Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by wife, Marcella Roddy Drake; parents, Albert Lee and Maude Durham Drake Sr.; brother, Russell Drake; sister, Billie Corrigan. Survivors: 3 sons, Delbert (Leota) Drake, Rick (Wendy) Drake, and Robert (Angie) Drake, all of Dayton, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren, Kim (David) Schrimpsher, Cindy Clark, Zack and Drew Drake; 1 great-grandchild, Eli Schrimpsher; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Monday Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Suttles and the Rev. Aaron Revis officiating. Interment: Spence Cemetery.
