Ida Lanier Elder Ida Mae "Big" Lanier passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13 , 2013, at Parkridge Medical Center. She was a member of Christian Fellowship CP Church. Her survivors include her children, Twana Wilkes, Linda Brown, Angela and Jerome Lanier; brothers, Rev. Thomas Jones, Eddie and Robert Jones; sister, Cassie Jones; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at Christian Fellowship CP Church with Pastor Eric Jones officiating. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. this evening at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
