Betty Golliher

Betty Sue Case Golliher, 87, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. Betty was born to Bessie and Jack Case on Jan. 16, 1926, she attended Chattanooga High School. Following graduation Betty was employed at Western Union and National Burial Insurance. In the 1960s Betty and her husband Glenn moved to Los Angles where Glenn was employed with Provident Life Insurance, in 1972 they were transferred to Birmingham, Ala., where she has been a resident for the past 40 years. Mrs. Golliher was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Kelly Golliher; her sisters, Evelyn Jones, Rebecca Van Der Cammen; brothers, Jack Case, James Case and Edward Case. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Golliher (Dan) Owen; one grandson, Daniel Kelly Owen; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Case; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Sally Golliher, of Spruce Pine, N.C.; as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. EDTon Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Chattanooga. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations may be given to Camp Winnataska, 260 Winnataska Drive, Pell City, AL 35125, or the charity of your choice.
