Carl James Robinson, 86, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, in a local healthcare facility. He served his country in the army in the early 1950s. He retired from Wheland Foundry with more than 40 years service. He was past worshipful master of Fort Oglethorpe Tompkins Masonic Lodge, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a kind hearted, gentle person and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward and Vernie Mae Robinson, of Rossville; wife, Mary Alice; and brother, William Edward; and very special companion, Erlene Blevins, all of Rossville; one niece; and several beloved pets. He is survived by brother, John L. Robinson; sister, Ruby Garner, of Rossville; sisters, Addie McCarty and Charlene Curtis, of Chickamauga, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Interment was at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Gardens on Nov. 12, with services conducted by the masons.
